The Hajime Hiro ‘Dojo Kun’ summarises the essence of good ethical conduct and practice within Martial Arts and daily life. This applies to all members and students using our facilities in any capacity.

Recognise and Value the importance of Gym / Dojo.
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person.
A good attitude, respect for others, courtesy, patience, self discipline, self control, determination and loyalty is expected from all students, at all times, regardless of grade, age and experience.
Junior members learn best by example.
Use correct and proper language at all times, including coaches & parents.
Recognise the value and importance of Sensei’s, Coaches, Volunteers, Referee’s and Event Organisers – it is their time and dedication that keeps the sport alive.
All Students must Bow (Rei) before entering the Dojo tatami.
Students should always Bow (Rei) to any Dan Grade, regardless of age.
Students must NEVER leave the tatami without Sensei / Coach permission
In the interest of safety, no jewellery. Nails must be kept short, clean and tidy.
Lessons will start promptly at times stated.
Students are expected to be punctual, and use the booking system provided.
Karate Gi Must be kept clean and tidy, and MUST be worn on all classes and courses (Plain T in Summer, Over Gi Winter)
Students must attend adequate amount of lessons to be eligible to grade
Martial Arts must only be used constructively and defensively, and for the benefit of fellow association members.
